History: Heir to a fortune, her parents put a great deal of effort into curing her disease. She graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. She advanced relatively quickly due to her good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Meriele was born with her mother's beautiful face. While she appears to be a normal Elf, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

History: Damakos lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He has had some formal painting training, and achieved minor success. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
