History: When she was but 5 years old her parents immigrated from the west. Akta was born on a far western plains where she grew up under the tutelage of her mother, an expert Apothecary. She left for the west, certain she would find work there.

However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the goblins.

He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Shipwright. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: He feels that his past leaves him morally obligated to help; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions
