She did not win them back, but she came to a realization. To get what you want from life, you must take it. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Flame was born into a poor family. Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a Bard, to bring honor to her family’s name. When she came of age, she applied for a position with her town's local guard, looking to work her way up via merit and eventually become a Bard in service of a powerful lord somewhere. From there she went from mercenary job to mercenary job. She used her abilities to trick people and travel the world for free.

History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Numba grew up listening to her mother's many stories. She was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. She bought a whip and has really upped her game hunting, due to her understanding of decoy and ambush.

Motivation: To reunite with her old friends.

History: Gifted from a young age, Smoking studied abroad. He sought a place where he would be rewarded solely on the merits of his skills. This search led him directly into Performer work with an outfit from a few towns over. Performer work suited him well, and with each successful project, he earned more gold and more respect from his peers. He tends to his Performer job now, and dutifully fulfills any obligations he has.
