Nikki grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Nikki. She has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Griselda's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has dedicated herself to building a better world.
