Gale's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. After a long history of fighting, Gale and her spouse have recently divorced.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: He will attempt to ambush and attack anyone he thinks he can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. If successful, he will try to sell them to his slave-trader contact; and retire the richest man in the north

During his travels, Aust and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Aust discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Aust fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.
