History: Umpen hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. He dropped out of school before completing his studies. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: He is soft-spoken, optimistic and speaks nonstop, as he rather likes the sound of his voice. His demeanor is somewhat feminine. He will often invite strangers home for dinner and talk their ears off. He cares deeply for his spouse and does his best to make sure his guests look presentable.

History: He is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He has since married many spouses, only to have them die. He claims to not be responsible.

Motivation: Wants to have a good time and be beloved; and to get a good night's sleep

Her chestnut hair has been sun bleached extensively. Her face possesses mild wrinkles. Her smile is extraordinarily sincere though she does not smile often.

Personality: She is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. She is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: She was born in the south. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the south were limited. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: To reunite with her old friends; and her religion dominates her actions

She carries with her a set of pickaxes on her belt, each one with a topaz on the hilt. She has no hair. Her voice is smooth and creepy, always level, but somehow just slightly unnerving.

Personality: Eccentric and domineering, Reeza will drive conversation. She does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: Trained by her mother for as long as she can remember she had it drilled in her head that it was her duty to serve her country. While she appears to be a normal Half-Orc, she's... not quite right. Perhaps she's slightly insane, or otherwise so mentally alien to the rest of the world that she plain doesn't fit in. She is untrained/undisciplined, which makes her dangerous.

Motivation: She is not mentally stable, and does not behave rationally.

History: He was born in the east, but his parents moved at a very young age to the west. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he desires power and/or immortality
