History: Beatrice hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. Ostracized due to the druidic powers of her oldest sister, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Humans became a terror of the countryside. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Personality: She is intelligent and cunning, but she will too often allow her rage to get the better of her. She will lose her cool and rely on brute force to carry the day. Any perceived weakness will be pressed and exploited. She is seen as merciless and passionate.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. Through the years after River was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the north. River's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
