History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. His parents divorced when he was young, and his father gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

History: Melissa was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Humans in the north were limited. She now has a substantial network of resources ranging from contacts to ships to peers.

Personality: She is a hateful person. She taunts others and blames them for her problems. She is underhanded and not above using her wealth and body to get others to do her bidding.

History: She grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Her father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.
