He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way north. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

History: Mordai lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. He has had some formal singing training, and achieved minor success. When his spouse passed he lost his only source of income but claims to his daughters to still be retired.

He tries to control his temper but he can't always stop himself from what he feels what must be done. He is cautious and jumpy. He reacts to every sound and lacks any concept of subtlety.

History: Purban was born with his mother's beautiful face. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. He has drifted from career to career and currently works as a Mayor.

Personality: She resents people who mock her appearance or her, so she has learned to be the meanest son of a gun. She is used to getting what she wants. In part because she is a meticulous planner.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. When she came of age, she joined a caravan that would eventually take her to the capital. She would practice along the way and, when she arrived, be apprenticed to a Painter. She has built up a small fortune and can afford her own way.
