History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. His mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his mother was legitimate. He now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. He always admired arcane-users and wanted to develop the talent, but never had the affinity for it. He was granted arcane powers by his dying brother.

Personality: Cocky and sure of herself, she believes she is the best Miller born in the past three hundred years. She has a habit of throwing herself into exceedingly dangerous situations.

History: She was born into a rich family. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Verin grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Verin. Recently she has begun working with bootleggers and crooks.
