History: Maiathah hails from a village terrorized by brigands. She found a children's book about a Elf Barbarian who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. She spent several years traveling with her friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike his way of doing things and want revenge; and he is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences his actions
