History: When he was but 6 years old his parents immigrated from the west. Qualen was born on a far western plains where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Weaver. Being a Weaver kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: He was born on a small isolated farm. Being born in the west, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the west for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way south. He routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Personality: He is unhospitable to his core. His small house has "No trespassing" Signs all over it. As he has aged he has sought to do reparations for his actions as a youth. He is also making sure that his compatriots who never received punishment for their crimes are brought to justice.

History: Born in the west to a Dilettante, Smoking learned a great deal about his mother's area of expertise. Like his mother and his brother before him, after school he went straight into learning to become a Dilettante. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: He wants nothing more than to rejoin the army; and he has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day

Personality: He swings through moods quickly. One moment he is cool and collected, the next he is carried away by passions. He loves being with his children and actually smiles when they are around. He would do anything for them. He dislikes his ex a great deal.

History: Shane lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Motivation: Marry his brother to traveling adventurers; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

Personality: Always inclined to offer people food she seems plenty friendly. Heather enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Half-Elven conditions. After a long history of fighting, Heather and her spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: She's repulsed by the PC.
