History: He was born into a rich family. In his youth he was a Stableman, and wanted to be a champion fighter when he grew up. He was working during a period of war, and as one of the natives he lived in fear of joining the others in being slaughtered. He saw the brutality and swore off his fighting aspirations, taking his younger sister on his back after seeing his parents die, and fled the country. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. She was an apprentice working in her father's forge. She struck the Cartwright job and began her own company from there.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. His divine abilities were realized during a raid on his village. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and to end his boredom
