History: She was born in a small forest village. When she was little, her rather wealthy family often ventured across the forest to a summer home near a ruined castle. She would wander through that ruined castle and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and she was stranded inside. Her family spent the next few days looking for her, and could only assume she was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the forest due to the painful memories there. Salanop took refuge in the ruined castle and found the beat up ceremonial dagger and armor she uses now. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: She considers herself a woman of culture and sophistication. She likes a good challenge to her wits. She never wears the same outfit twice, unless she absolutely has to.

History: She comes from a rich western family. She has had some formal poetry training, and achieved minor success. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-brother.

History: Her parents moved while she was still in utero so she is the first generation to be born here. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. She left for the south, certain she would find work there.
