Recently a tribe of gnolls attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his father always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. At some point he was captured by giants and was tortured. After several years of this he finally managed to escape. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: He is a bit of a kleptomaniac; and someone believes him a fraud
