Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. She seeks to pay back kindness whenever she gets the chance. Whether it be in the form of unwanted serenades or the latest gossip she always seeks to do solids for her friends.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. Through the years after Volen was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the east. Volen's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. Some 3 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Volen never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her father had trained her before.

He was regularly beaten by his father, who blamed him for driving them apart. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Gardener they were divorced and he won custody of their daughter. He worked as a Priest, and he later adopted a second daughter.
