History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Oppleby grew up listening to his mother's many stories. From his teen years he was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on him. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her father. Her parents died when she was young, and she was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Jade grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Jade. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.
