She saw this and took pride in her mother's willingness to do anything to win. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: She is being blackmailed/forced/etc and this influences her actions; and she will attempt to ambush and attack anyone she thinks she can take on alone and try to knock them out with non-lethal damage. if successful, she will try to sell them to her slave-trader contact
