History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. His family was being driven out of business by several neighboring competitors. The father sought out extralegal help and others began closing their doors. He saw this and took pride in his father's willingness to do anything to win. Being a Detective kept his interest for a while, but then he became depressed and bored. So he turned to a secret life of crime, taking increasingly more risks and challenges.

History: A studious child she never was much for a social life, not because she was unlikable, but because she did not seek it out. While studying, she fell in love. They married and had a son. Some 10 years later her spouse died after the birth of her son. Heartbroken, Merla never married again. Instead she focused her life to raising her son whom she trained as her father had trained her before.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A freak accident while working with his Interpreter father left him crippled. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
