The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He inherited the family business which he has now maintained for 14 years.

History: He was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. His mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

History: Callybon lived on a farm with her mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. She found a children's book about a Gnome Warrior who fought for good and justice and never realised it was just a child's story. She modeled her life after the story, seeing herself destined a hero. History: He grew up in a lower middle class home, but living comfortably wasn't enough. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Gnomish activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Gnomish doctor. He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
