History: Zephan was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Barbarian, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Barbarian in service of a powerful lord somewhere. From there he went from mercenary job to mercenary job. He has drifted apart from his friends and has been working freelance. Each gave each other a copy of their signature shield.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. From her teen years she was always beautiful and desirable, so people have always doted on her. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Merchant and was forced into it by her family.

Personality: She has a good heart but also a terrible temper. She will forgive often but not before yelling and berating someone for whatever they have done wrong. She loves her children and doesn't want them to worry about her. She loves to share her writing with anyone who is interested.

History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Jacoba was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. She has had some formal writing training, and achieved minor success. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by gnolls. Jacoba was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Baker and was forced into it by her family.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Motivation: Sabotage a competitor; and expand her business

Personality: He shows great sympathy to all travelers. He's the type to buy drinks and listen to their stories. He is terrible with names forgetting people's names several times before they finally stick; this causes him no end of embarrassment.

History: Gifted from a young age, Wrenn studied abroad. Wrenn was orphaned to a temple shortly after his birth. He was raised by the temple staff to care always for others above himself and to hold his god always in his heart. He now spends his time doing works of charity.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs.
