History: River was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. She couldn't stand her childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with her mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to illithids demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Many illithids want her driven away; and her name or reputation has been wronged in the past by illithids, and she desires to right it

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father.
