Description: An older woman who typically wears a sleeveless long coat of deep grey leather and dull white iron scale mail, she is not a threatening figure. She has a very tight haircut. Her thin eyebrows rest above her beady green eyes.

Personality: She cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with her opinion, she thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, she can get violently argumentative. She is fiercely devoted to her mother, and views her mother's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-brother.

History: She comes from a rich western family. Her first spouse was a Marshal, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to giants demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her brother; and her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion

Personality: Cocky and sure of himself, he believes he is the best Doctor born in the past three hundred years. Despite his manner, he is extremely passionate and proud of his job, and he prides himself in being thorough and never missing a detail.

History: He was raised in a desert tribe. He has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to him frivolously. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He has money and likes to spend it.

Personality: Her tongue was cut out and she uses sign language. Flattery will make her almost putty in your hands.

History: She was raised by priests from a young age. Her mother was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but she insists her mother was legitimate. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Motivation: Her religion dominates her actions.

Description: This northern man's face is deformed and paralyzed on one side. As such, he slurs his words together. He is constantly adorned with expensive silk clothing, often dyed in bright green and blue, and wears rings and necklaces with large, colorful gems. His dark red hair is thinning but still full. This red eyed northerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: He will use flattery and sarcasm to attack and weaken his opponents. Despite his formidable combat skills he remains a coward. Rimmon enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: A powerful slaver made him what he is. He inherited a moderately successful company from his mother. Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. He now mingles about in high society.
