During his travels, Mordai and his party rested in a cavern that was (unknown to them) infused with powerful dark magic. Upon awakening, Mordai discovered the rest of his party dead, transformed into horrible, mindless undead versions of their former selves. Mordai fled the cavern, stopping for breath at a small pool, and only then realizing his own horrible transformation.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. His homeland was ravaged by war and he spent much of his life rebuilding it. After a long history of fighting, Tod and his spouse have recently divorced.

History: When she was but 5 years old her parents immigrated from the east. She has chosen to use the inheritance that was left to her frivolously. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.
