History: A powerful wizard made him what he is. He couldn't stand his childhood mentor and eventually formed a pact with his mentor's previously failed apprentice to rebel. When their plan failed the mentor lashed out against both of them and fled. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: To find somewhere to settle down; and his name or reputation has been wronged in the past by drow, and he desires to right it

History: She was raised in a desert tribe. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to her current location. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.
