History: Mantus was born into a poor family. Growing up, he dreamt of becoming a Warlock, to bring honor to his family’s name. When he came of age, he applied for a position with his town's local guard, looking to work his way up via merit and eventually become a Warlock in service of a powerful lord somewhere. He was an adventurer many years ago and he formed a blood bond with his Half-Elven companion (his 'brother'). He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

History: Verin was born to in a poor docking district. She spent her early days working in the same smith shop her mother was employed at, doing general labor. Being born in the east, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the east for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.
