History: Sold as a small child to a slaver, Drifting was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. He eventually earned his freedom when his former master disappeared. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He left for the east, certain he would find work there.

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She is frequently practicing swordplay.

History: Gifted from a young age, Herleva studied abroad. She was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. Her spouse died of illness and she inherited everything. She moves from town to town, unable to find a place to settle.

Personality: He is a melancholic, but persistent worker. He resents family life and as such spurns the advances of admirers. He is obsessed with a lost civilization.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his father. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

History: Shanairla was born with her father's beautiful face. Her homeland was ravaged by war and she spent much of her life rebuilding it. She now travels the world, in search of power and loot.

Motivation: Balancing her hectic life and new Butcher responsibilities is difficult; and she feels that her past leaves her morally obligated to help
