History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. His mother was a soldier and died while he was still young. Direcris was left his mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. Recently a tribe of brigands attacked the village and all able bodies who could hold a blade were quickly armed and sent to the walls. Direcris fought at the side of some of the regions greatest heroes but was never overshadowed.

Motivation: To fight the greatest warriors and to fight in the greatest battles ever; and he wants nothing more than to rejoin the army

History: The child of southern immigrants he idolized his father. Aside from being a slave or a gladiator, there isn't much legitimate work for Elves in Erdan's homeland. Erdan decided to take the middle way and become a bodyguard. He was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching him a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and balancing his hectic life and new courier responsibilities is difficult

Personality: She is filled with cunning. She likes to feign weakness letting people think she is weak. She does not believe in violence as a means to an end. She is a dedicated Architect but believes her peers are too gung-ho.

History: Thiala was born in the south. At a young age she loved to build and create. She was taken from her home at a very young age. She was always very intelligent and has formed a secret society of specialists.

Motivation: Wants her loneliness to end; and she's in love

Personality: A deeply religious man he believes everything happens for a reason. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Gnomes.

History: Glim was raised in a hard working conservative environment. His father was supposedly a charlatan fortune teller, but he insists his father was legitimate. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Motivation: To reunite with his absent mother; and find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister
