Personality: He is a very philanthropic person; he spends his free time working at various soup kitchens. He is lazy and tries to find solutions quickly.

History: He comes from a rich eastern family. In his 15th year, while out on a day-trip, he returned to find his hometown burning and destroyed. He found his mother impaled in their home, and his father beheaded. He saw the man who walked out, and charged him in a blind rage. The man easily evaded and defeated him, leaving him to live broken and terrified. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: Heir to a fortune, his parents put a great deal of effort into curing his disease. The family's rival house kidnapped his sister with the intent that his sister marry their son to gain control of contested properties. By chance he met his sister recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his sister; and marry his sister to traveling adventurers

Personality: Stoic and calm, she prefers to meditate than take action. Nella enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for her love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.

History: Nella hails from a village terrorized by gnolls. Her parents were killed by gnolls in a raid when she was still a young child. The gnolls captured her, and made her a slave and general play-thing. She was beaten and tortured regularly, leading to her deformed appearance. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by gnolls. Nella was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the gnolls.

History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. She took every job she could get her hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the west were limited. She hasn't been sleeping well lately.
