History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Bardryn grew up listening to her mother's many stories. Her mother took her hunting and taught her how to get in the mind of other creatures. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Under his leadership it has flourished, and using capital from his venture he effectively owns an entire region. After a long history of fighting, Patrin and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and he wants revenge against dire rats

History: He was a bastard born out of an affair, and his mother always resented and mistreated him for it out of spite. He moved out south to avoid the crime he committed. One night he noticed a nearby shooting star which he hiked out to see where it landed. It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.
