History: He was born to a criminal king-pin and mafia family His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Naal grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Naal. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

History: He was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of his parents. In his 18th year, his parents were killed by a dire rats raid, leaving Igden alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, he was adopted. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Whurbin was born on a far southern forest where he grew up under the tutelage of his father, an expert Fisher. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He also hits on men, regardless of circumstances.

History: He was born at the edge of vast island. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has gone from town to town working and never settling down anywhere, but has fallen for a local Miller. He hasn't told them the truth, but wants to settle down with them.

Motivation: Wants his loneliness to end.
