History: When she was but 4 years old her parents immigrated from the south. A few years later when the west was not economically sound they moved to her current location. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her sons to still be retired.

Motivation: Doesn't want to be a Tanner and was forced into it by her family; and her spouse's relatives view her with great suspicion
