History: He was raised in a desert tribe. Umpen was born on a far northern desert where he grew up under the tutelage of his mother, an expert Unemployed. Unlike his family, who was content to work in a sleepy main town, he wanted to work in the city. He has been working here for the past few years.

Personality: Here is a woman who knows she is the smartest in the room. She talks down to others constantly. She does not mind isolation but does not hate company and attempts to receive them as best as possible.

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. In her 16th year, her parents were killed by a brigands raid, leaving Mardred alone in the world. After a stint in an orphanage, she was adopted. She has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to brigands demanding more tribute than usual.

When money was particularly tight she was walking through alleys when she overheard a Body Guard hiring some criminals to sabotage a competitor. She made her way to the other competitor and parlayed her knowledge into a job. She's since become an addict/alcoholic.
