History: Born to a Guard, his mother struggled to pay the bills. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Halfling activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Halfling doctor. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: His name or reputation has been wronged in the past by dire rats, and he desires to right it; and many dire rats want him driven away

Description: Wearing a closed helm and plate, one would not know what she was had she not made sure her armor was more form fitting than normal. Outside of the suit she is dressed in an above average manner. Her hair is red and curly. Her face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.

Personality: A rambunctious noisy drunk she knows how to make people feel guilty. Vanchu is a bit of a follower. Usually she is manipulated by her sisters into helping them out, but recently she has become more of a free agent.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Being born in the west, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the west for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way east. She has been saving her money to try and buy her sister's freedom.

Motivation: Marry her sister to traveling adventurers.

Personality: Oriax is a sociable creature first and foremost. He loves to listen to people at length before talking their ear off. He can carry on conversation for hours and will do so. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Shoemaker but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: Trained by his mother for as long as he can remember he had it drilled in his head that it was his duty to serve his country. His parents divorced when he was young, and his mother gained full cudstody. He was regularly beaten by his mother, who blamed him for driving them apart. After a long history of fighting, Oriax and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He speaks before he thinks and is too direct. He is able to make almost anything out of random pieces of junk.

History: Born in the south his family was never financially stable. A gifted student he started as a Fisher, but he got bored and became a Farmer. He has set out to sabotage the competition.

Motivation: He is compelled to act according to his religious beliefs; and he is unsatisfied with his job
