Description: He is an average looking northern male in his early mid-life. He wears a lot of dark rich colors, with gold accents. His hair is always cut to a buzz. His fierce hazel eyes like to dwell on things.

Personality: He considers himself a man of culture and sophistication. He likes a good challenge to his wits. He cannot resist a sob story and will often dote over anyone who has one.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his mother and father. His mother taught him the rudiments of the Engraver arts, while his father instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. When he was little, his rather wealthy family often ventured across the desert to a summer home near a large cave. He would wander through that large cave and adventure through it for days. One day while adventuring a terrible storm took place and he was stranded inside. His family spent the next few days looking for him, and could only assume he was dead when it came time to leave. The family never returned to the desert due to the painful memories there. Bertram took refuge in the large cave and found the beat up greatsword and armor he uses now. He used his abilities to travel the world and help people.

Personality: He is happy with his job as a Bowyer. He turns his eye from what people do, preferring to live and let live. His job bores him to no end. He has decided to make it more interesting.

History: Born in the north his family was never financially stable. At a young age both his parents were killed in an accident. His uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took him in and had him trained in basic self defense. He spent several years traveling with his friend, before both settled down to enjoy the fruits of their adventures.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark.

He knows his nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but him.
