History: Sold as a small child to a necromancer, Barbena was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Barbena was born on a far northern forest where she grew up under the tutelage of her father, an expert Marshal. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by goblins. Barbena was horrified and prayed that her mother was alright. However, she heard that her mother had died fighting off the goblins.

Personality: She is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends she is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy herself. She is obsessed with her god.

History: She was raised happily, as a normal child born to her mother and father. Her mother taught her the rudiments of the Jeweler arts, while her father instructed her in etiquette, music and courtly manner. She was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. She never won. She now mingles about in high society.

Personality: She tends to agree with only herself unless someone else's opinion sounds like she can profit from it. She tries to control her temper but she can't always stop herself from what she feels what must be done. She cannot deal with unfamiliar people for more than a few minutes at a time and if they persist she will grow angry at them.

History: She was born several months after her mother was called into army service. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. By chance she met her brother recently and the two have been together since.

A gifted student he started as a Soapmaker, but he got bored and became a Baker. After a long history of fighting, Mordai and his spouse have recently divorced.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Baker responsibilities is difficult.

History: She was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. Like her father and her brother before her, after school she went straight into learning to become a Tanner. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: She is terrified, and will act out of fear; and sabotage a competitor
