Personality: Umpen is depressed about a lot of things. He tends to be a nihilist. He is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Gnomes.

History: Umpen hails from a village terrorized by illithids. He married young, but lost his spouse to illithids. Days after completing his studies, news broke out that his hometown was attacked by illithids. Umpen was horrified and prayed that his father was alright. However, he heard that his father had died fighting off the illithids.

Motivation: Revenge; and many illithids want him driven away

Personality: He has a very dry and sarcastic sense of humor. He is not one for noise or eating so much, which is in direct contrast with his big mouthed big gutted partner. His partner is his best friend in the world. The two are very close despite being more or less each other's opposites. He is accommodating to his spouse and as such limits his hospitality. He is brave and levelheaded in the face of danger and has proven himself a capable leader.

History: From birth he was tutored by a cruel and relentless mentor. His first spouse was a Body Guard, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He is searching for what he claims is his rightful reward.

Motivation: Regain custody of his daughter; and he's looking for his big break

History: She is the product a well kept family trust fund and as such has never really known need. Her mother was a soldier and died while she was still young. Volen was left her mother's suit of armor and trained in its use and care. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: His parents moved while he was still in utero so he is the first generation to be born here. He was part of a huge silver rush, which was taken over by a mining company. The company confiscated a lot of silver, but the shipment was lost. When he grew older, he became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. He began work as a mercenary for hire. He would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and he wants to meet his childhood hero
