She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She was granted psionic powers by her dying brother.

Description: What flesh remains visible is marred by burns. He does not wear sleeves and tends to eschew shirts when he can avoid it. He sports a long chestnut beard, and similarly colored long hair. This brown eyed westerner is not easily forgotten.

Personality: He dislikes all the random violence that takes place in the west. His respect, as difficult as one would find it to earn, is unwavering; those who more than prove themselves to him, a bar set well above any reasonable standard, he tolerates in varying degrees. Though less modest and more hasty in his reactions to snap at those who irritate him, William is combative with any and all who dare try his patience in the slightest.

History: He comes from a rich western family. Brilliant and gifted he never wanted to apply himself. He has made many enemies by not giving into corruption and outing many instances of it.

History: She got into the Dilettante business at a young age. Through the years after Saphara was born, her father became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Saphara's father didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She's also a talented Bather, but doesn't like to broadcast it.
