Dalaba's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She got away from her former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Personality: Her tongue was cut out and she uses sign language. She is a big fan of imagination and believes people should spend more time reading and writing.

History: Verin was raised in a hard working conservative environment. She went to a religious school and was inspired by the priests there in charitable deeds. She hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure her.

Personality: He is filled with cunning. He likes to feign weakness letting people think he is weak. He does not regard money as being a problem because it has never been a problem for him. He lives in a bit of an ivory tower believing all problems are one quick intervention away from being solved.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Being born in the south, he completed his medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. He returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. He was a general practitioner in the south for years, until he, through no fault of his own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal he made his way east. He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Personality: She is quiet and reserved most of the time, but warms up to people very quickly. Around friends she is liable to tell dirty jokes and enjoy herself. She takes great pride in her work and is very well organized. Her planner is full of calendar events.

History: She was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. Her childhood dream was to be a Navigator, but she was a colossal failure. She routinely visits covens of witches but complains that many are fraudulent and lack true knowledge of magic.

Motivation: To protect her home; and she'd like to take her coworkers down a peg
