History: He was born the only child of a wealthy merchant. A few years later when the north was not economically sound they moved to his current location. He left for the south, certain he would find work there.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Oppleby embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. Further he is a bit of a stoner and is frequently out of it.

History: Born to a poor family in the city he treasured whatever gifts he got. He took every job he could get his hands on, but the opportunities for Gnomes in the east were limited. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: To end his boredom; and he seems to be bored by most things

History: She comes from a rich western family. She was an adventurer many years ago and she formed a blood bond with her Half-Elven companion (her 'brother'). She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Motivation: She is unsatisfied with her job; and wants to open a new tavern

Personality: She is witty, but her monotone delivery comes off as unnerving She is obsessed with finding treasure.

History: She was a bastard born out of an affair, and her father always resented and mistreated her for it out of spite. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Half-Elven conditions. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: Her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and she's looking for her big break

Personality: He is always cheerful, even with a hangover, and is always willing to go through all sorts of trouble to help his friends. He considers everything a fun event and doesn't hold grudges. He has a minor phobia of water and hates getting wet.

History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, he was no stranger to responsibility. His first spouse was a Junk Dealer, they had one daughter, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. By chance he met his brother recently and the two have been together since.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of his brother; and doesn't want to be a mercenary and was forced into it by his family
