Personality: He cares much about the opinion of others, both in good and in bad: when keeping in line with his opinion, he thinks highly of the other person, but when opinions clash, he can get violently argumentative. The war was a terrible time for him, and Balam does not often speak of it. When he does, he does so with a strained expression and tears in his eyes.

History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. He graduated from the Naval Academy and went to see the world at the rank of Ensign. He advanced relatively quickly due to his good work ethic, understanding of the chain of command, and natural leadership ability. History: He was born blind and as such lacked many opportunities for work. A gifted student he started as a Miner, but he got bored and became a Sellsword. He hopes to save up enough money to one day pay a cleric to cure him.

She is however nostalgic and wants to reunite with her old comrades. She has some compunction and patriotism and will work for the government before all other clients.

History: She was born a particularly ugly child, much to the horror of her parents. At a young age both her parents were killed in an accident. Her uncle (a powerful person with enemies on both sides of the law) took her in and had her trained in basic self defense. Lacking all sense, she decided to go on an adventure. She picked a direction and started trekking.

Motivation: Find a way to reverse the transformation of her sister; and to reunite with her old friends

Personality: Stoic and calm, he prefers to meditate than take action. He takes great joy in being the best Scribe in town.

History: His history is one of pain. He was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves his parents kept. When the war came and ruined his parents he was left adrift. He was a hard man then and has only learned to fight more as time goes on. He ran away from his former home and has been making his living as a Scribe for the past few years.

Motivation: He is currently in port desperately looking for someone to get him out; and to be a shepherd again
