History: Raer hails from a village terrorized by dire rats. His father had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted him to inherit them. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to dire rats demanding more tribute than usual.

History: Altho lived on a farm with his mother, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Before the accident, he was one of the most outspoken anti-Dwarven activists. He was mortally wounded, saved by a kind and fast-acting Dwarven doctor. Due to his spouse's obsession with being a Spy they were divorced and he won custody of their son. He worked as a Hunter, and he later adopted a second son.
