History: Born the oldest of a large religious southern family, she was no stranger to responsibility. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her mother gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She ran away from her former home and has been making her living as a Carter for the past few years.

History: Gurdis lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. At a young age she wooed the heart of her future spouse and the two had a long relationship before they wed. She has since lost track of the people in her past.

Description: A moderately attractive woman, she is well dressed, constantly wearing a red suit, grey shirt, and black tie. Her long auburn hair reaches down to her waist. Her fair skin shows little sign of her aristocratic breeding.
Personality: She is a pretentious jerk insisting that modern society is full of problems and should revert to a simpler time. She is a bit of a xeno-phobe, disliking non-Halflings.
History: Born to a pair of adventurers, Alain grew up listening to her mother's many stories. Ostracized due to the divine powers of her oldest brother, she and her siblings struck out on their own. In the process these unassuming Halflings became a terror of the countryside. When she grew older, she became a bit more civilized, usually hanging around bars and taverns. She began work as a mercenary for hire. She would embark on any mission as long as the price was right.
Motivation: A strong sense of loyalty to Gnomish people; and she's looking for her big break

Description: This woman is bedraggled and starved. She wears a worn and beaten armor. She has no hair. Her face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. Her spectacle hidden eyes are a deep hazel.
Personality: A grumpy gal she will invite people to lunch so she can critique them. Yet she still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. She is however greedy and will demand payment and proof of collateral's value and will produce a merchant's scale to make sure she is not cheated out of a speck.
History: Born to a Fisher, her mother struggled to pay the bills. Through the years after Nurkara was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Nurkara's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She has been a successful dealer in antiques buying low and selling high.

Personality: He snorts whenever he laughs or is feeling confident. Theobald enjoys physical pleasures, and is well known for his love of warm baths in the hot springs near the town.
History: Theobald was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He then took over the family business and is one of the better Layabout for hire.
