History: She was born with several neurological imbalances, which makes sleep difficult for her. It may also be what makes her so good at details. When Werydd reached her early adolescence her Dwarf mother passed away. Feeling disconnected from the small nearby village afterwards, she decided to travel. Her rounds led her into the Army with a few individuals who would become her life-long companions. She left for the east, certain she would find work there.

History: The child of southern immigrants she idolized her mother. Her mother had invested heavily in several trade routes and wanted her to inherit them. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

Personality: Aside from being a little slow due to sleep deprivation he is generally quite perceptive. He notices little details and can draw good conclusions from them. He does not believe in violence as a means to an end. He is a dedicated Marshal but believes his peers are too gung-ho.

History: He got into the Marshal business at a young age. Balam abandoned his home at a very young age, living in the fields and plains. He survived everyday through hunting and stealing from passersby. He did whatever it took for him to survive. He became a plane-shifter, and is stopping over on this plane for a brief visit.

Motivation: Meet up once more with his childhood friend; and a need for knowledge about a nearby landmark

History: He was born several months after his mother was called into army service. He was taken as a slave by a traveling circus and forced to perform He has built up a small fortune and can afford his own way.

Motivation: Balancing his hectic life and new Miner responsibilities is difficult.

History: Born in the south to a Mayor, Galinndan learned a great deal about his father's area of expertise. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. He has dedicated himself to building a better village for his children.

Motivation: He'd like to take his coworkers down a peg; and to be a detective again
