Shamil Gimlen, Female Gnome [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: This exceptionally lanky woman wears an old set of leather armor, nicked and torn by the ravages of time and battle. Her brown hair is styled in orderly dreadlocks. Judging by the bloodshot nature of her eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine she has not slept for days.
Personality: She thrives on attention. She does whatever is in her power to gain the attention of whomever she deems a fit date. She refers to her adoptive father for almost all things she is unsure about, which are numerous. She is very much still a child and has not developed a drive for self-dependency.
History: Shamil lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Being born in the north, she completed her medical training abroad so as to avoid the war. She returned after the war having achieved medical proficiency. She was a general practitioner in the north for years, until she, through no fault of her own, lost a patient who had a very powerful family. Rather than risk reprisal she made her way west. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.
Motivation: To reunite with her absent father; and to unite with her sister
Flaws: Insomniac. Bonds: Attractive, Family, Poor. Occupation: Miner
Voice: Speaks with squeezed throat

Helen Walpole, Female Human [Permalink]
Personal [hide]
Description: This woman is tall and muscular. She is well dressed, but even with her fine clothing she looks run-down. She has wavy white hair. Her face is feral with sharp distinguishing features. Her spectacle hidden eyes are a deep gray.
Personality: Her voice, at times compared to that of a Nymph, lambasts those who consider themselves "civilized" with snide, belittling remarks; the subtle growl she speaks with growing louder in doing so, one can find it most pronounced, despite the otherwise natural purity of her tone. She is submissive, is generally bored by everything, but will take part in whatever people ask of her. She is by nature obliging.
History: Her history is one of pain. She was disowned by both parents and raised among the slaves her parents kept. At some point she was captured by illithids and was tortured. After several years of this she finally managed to escape. Days after completing her studies, news broke out that her hometown was attacked by illithids. Helen was horrified and prayed that her father was alright. However, she heard that her father had died fighting off the illithids.
Motivation: Someone believes her a fraud.
