History: He was born to loving parents in a slum to the north. At a young age his father died while driving off some goblins. His mother being the stubborn sort decided to stay and helped train him in crossbow use. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: A deep hatred of goblins; and many goblins want him driven away

History: She was born to a wealthy landowner in a frontier town, living a normal and happy childhood. She inherited a moderately successful company from her father. Under her leadership it has flourished, and using capital from her venture she effectively owns an entire region. She knows her nephew is from a royal line that had remained secret for centuries, but promised not to tell anyone. So far, no-one knows but her.

History: Flame lived on a farm with his father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. His first spouse was a Shoemaker, they had one son, but his spouse won total custody. Without his spouse to temper him he grew out of control. He has taken up leadership of the village's small militia in response to goblins demanding more tribute than usual.

Motivation: A need for knowledge about a nearby landmark; and he has passion for adventuring and risk
