It turned out to be an ancient artifact of some kind. He has done his darndest to repair it but it is currently non-functional.

Personality: She is business-like. She takes instructions and follows them to the letter. She is a bit of a macho woman and will challenge people to random contests of strength and skill, and invite them to random hunting and fishing trip.

History: Her father raised her in a mountain cabin. A gifted student she started as a Gardener, but she got bored and became a Fortune-teller. She has achieved small success as a Fortune-teller.

History: He was born in a small desert village. He moved out north to avoid the crime he committed. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Motivation: He has comitted a past crime that haunts him to this day.
