She was regularly beaten by her mother, who blamed her for driving them apart. She was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

Description: This southern man usually wears his brown robe and has his mace always slung over his shoulder. His clothes are grease stained in places. His black hair is long and unkept. Judging by the bloodshot nature of his eyes and the massive bags underneath them one would imagine he has not slept for days.

Personality: While he is on the job, he is grim and serious. He understands how dangerous the world is and the need to stay safe. He does not trust anyone and sleeps with one eye open.

History: Hugh was born to in a poor docking district. He spent his early days working in the same smith shop his father was employed at, doing general labor. His parents died when he was young, and he was unceremoniously dumped in the city orphanage. Hugh grew up in the orphanage, tormented by the older kids and famished from lack of food. To avoid death by starvation, most orphans take to a life of crime or prostitution (often both), and so did Hugh. He has recently gotten a pet goose that steals things from people.

Personality: Quiet and reserved she prefers to listen than to talk. She will nod occasionally and communicate nonverbally. Her brief stint in the army gave her the idea she was invincible and that she is the toughest woman alive.

History: Born to a poor family in the city she treasured whatever gifts she got. A serious injury left her father unemployed and in need of constant care. Her family became saddled with debt trying to care for her infirm father. She remains aloof and afraid to be herself due to all the ideals others have placed upon her.

Motivation: She wants nothing more than to rejoin the army.

Personality: Sariel hangs on like a leech to those who appreciate her. It was this clingy personality that held back her dancing career. She is skeptical of what others tell her and is slow to trust.

History: She was born in the south. Through the years after Sariel was born, her mother became increasingly distant from her family, instead choosing to pursue power in the south. Sariel's mother didn't care for her much, and the feeling was mutual. She was betrayed by a partner and left for dead, teaching her a humbling lesson in trusting others.

Motivation: She uses money and sex appeal to get what she needs; and seeks redemption

Motivation: Several ex partners dislike her way of doing things and want revenge; and many goblins want her driven away
