History: Raised by wardens he was only a novice when goblins swooped upon their monastery and killed most of the order. He was married off to the eldest child of a minor noble. His spouse died of illness and he inherited everything. He was recently attacked on the road and savagely beaten by bandits.

History: The child of northern immigrants she idolized her father. As a young adult she joined a group advocating for an improvement in Half-Orc conditions. She left for the north, certain she would find work there.

Personality: Soft-spoken and well mannered, she has an amazing amount of patience and a slow boiling temper. She loves her children and doesn't want them to worry about her. She loves to share her writing with anyone who is interested.

History: Alain lived on a farm with her father, near the main road leading to a nearby town. Her first spouse was a Herbalist, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Herbalist they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Bookbinder, and she later adopted a second son.
