Personality: A grumpy guy he will invite people to lunch so he can critique them. Yet he still seems generally likeable, like a lovable grump. He is often prim and proper but will on occasion tell either really disgusting or offensive jokes, which seem out of character.

History: He was raised happily, as a normal child born to his father and mother. His father taught him the rudiments of the Carpenter arts, while his mother instructed him in etiquette, music and courtly manner. He was an athlete and attended two major summer competitions. He never won. After a long history of fighting, Ar-Baruk and his spouse have recently divorced.

Personality: He is a very philanthropic person; he spends his free time working at various soup kitchens. He believes the world needs to unite to get rid of dire rats once and for all.

History: He got into the Scribe business at a young age. He was one of the best in his class, and was picked up by his current employer. He quickly showed his capability and was soon promoted to a head role. He got away from his former life and has fallen to alcoholism.

Motivation: A deep hatred of dire rats; and he is unsatisfied with his job

Description: This younger middle-aged woman is wearing a long, white, dusty cloak, and a wedding ring on her right hand. Her long auburn hair reaches down to her waist. Her face is full, her cheeks are rosy, and she always seems to sport a perfect smile and a twinkle in her green eyes.

Personality: She speaks before she thinks and is too direct. She loves her children and doesn't want them to worry about her. She loves to share her music with anyone who is interested.

History: Sold as a small child to a wizard, Drenna was an assistant, and all too frequently test subject. She eventually earned her freedom when her former master disappeared. Her first spouse was a Dilettante, they had one son, but her spouse won total custody. Without her spouse to temper her she grew out of control. Due to her spouse's obsession with being a Dilettante they were divorced and she won custody of their son. She worked as a Laborer, and she later adopted a second son.

Description: This malnourished woman tends to wear a tan poncho over her likewise colored trousers and shirt. Her blonde hair is still thick. Her face is covered beneath a completely black helmet.

Personality: Aggressive, abrasive, and angry, Pyntle embodies much of what other species detest in the Gnomes. She is fiercely devoted to her father, and views her father's ex-spouse as an evil person for separating her from her legal half-sister.

History: She was born to a pair of big game hunters, but was frequently ill as a child. Her parents divorced when she was young, and her father gained full cudstody. She was regularly beaten by her father, who blamed her for driving them apart. When her spouse passed she lost her only source of income but claims to her daughters to still be retired.

Motivation: Her relatives are trying to arrange a marriage; and marry her sister to traveling adventurers

Personality: He is erratic and paranoid. He believes illithids are coming to abduct people. His temper goes off on the smallest of things. He tends to lash out at those around him.

History: Born in a small village he learned the ways of the warrior from his mother. As a young child he wandered into the woods despite his mother's warnings against it. Afterwards he claimed he had encountered illithids who tried to eat his hand. He has recently attracted an admirer that believes he's playing hard to get.

Motivation: He's in love; and someone believes him a fraud
